On Friday, February 21, 2020, over 20 participants received their certificate of completion from the Return to Happiness Program (RTH Program) which was carried out by UNICEF, the Ministry of Local Government and the San Pedro Town Council.
The RTH Program is a three-day training course that capacitates individuals to assist children, from age ranges 5-12, with psychosocial problems, which are usually caused by traumatic experiences, i.e. fires, natural disasters, etc. As part of the completion of the course, each participant had to read an oath that commits them to assist when any emergency arises. Along with their certificate, they also received a kit which consisted of a backpack with the necessary tools inside that they can use for emergencies.
The San Pedro Town Council would like to thank UNICEF and the Ministry of Local Government for providing this course. We would also like to thank the participants for taking time from their busy schedule to attend this course that will definitely benefit the community of San Pedro.
