A shooting incident that occurred shortly after midnight on Monday, September 30, 2019 inside Daddy Rock Night Club has left one person injured and San Pedro Police have one suspect in custody.
According to San Pedro Police they received information about a shooting at Daddy Rock Night Club on Barrier Reef Drive sometime around 12:30 a.m. where Glenford Alexx Dominguez, 45-year-old, Belizean Bartender of San Pablo Area was seen suffering from a gunshot wound to the left shoulder which penetrated and exited his body.
Investigation reveals that Dominguez was sitting down on a stool of the Disco bar counter when he was approached by one Ediberto Javier Romero, 32 year-old, Belizean Pilot of San Pablo area who was asking him about an incident between Romero's brother, to which he responded to him to ask his brother about it.
Romero kept insisting and Dominguez told him to leave him alone. Dominguez then pushed Romero on the shoulder after which Romero pulled out a firearm from his left pants pocket and fired a single shot at Dominguez hitting him on the left shoulder.
Romero was quickly detained by a police officer who was inside the club at the time and was disarmed. Dominguez was taken to the San Pedro polyclinic where he is admitted in a stable condition suffering from a gunshot wound to the left humerus.
Police retrieved a .380 GFL expended shell and (1) slug at the scene of shooting. (1) .380 pistol Walther Smith & Wesson brand S/N 5897BACPPK/S-1 along with magazine containing (7) GFL brand live rounds of ammo was retrieved from Ediberto Romero and sealed in his presence inside a gun box to be sent for analysis. Romero is currently detained in custody pending investigation.
Update Wednesday, October 2, 2019 - Police have arrested and charged Ediberto Javier Romero 32-year-old, Belizean Private Pilot of San Pedro Town for the crimes of Attempt Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm committed upon Glenford Allex Dominguez and also for the offense of Discharging firearm in public.
