Reef Week's Trivia Competition tested the wits of elementary school children on all things reef and the precious environment and animals that depend on it. Students of Caye Caulker R.C. School joined those from San Pedro at the San Pedro Lions Den for the fun and educational competition that took place this morning, Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Coming out on top after three rounds and a tie-breaker section, with an almost perfect score was Annelyse Perdue of Isla Bonita Elementary School.
Rounding up the top three spots were Karina Sothz from Caye Caulker R.C. School in third place and Daniel Marin from New Horizon Academy in second place. Both of them won a Samsung tablet and a school bag full of supples. Annelyse won a laptop computer with carrying case, printer and speaker system. They contested against 11 other students who included Christian Cunil (New Horizon Academy), Angelo Marin (San Pedro R.C. School, Camila Domergue (La Isla Carinosa Academy), Kimberly Houghton (Island Academy), Mariseli Heum (Holy Cross Anglican School), Alexis Lawrence (ACES), Jeidy Duran (San Pedro R.C.
