SPHS Soccer Girl Champs

San Pedro High School Girls’ Team is the Champion in the high school Northern Region comprised of Corozal and Orange Walk. San Pedro team first defeated Muffles College in penalties scoring three goals courtesy of Siomara, Sherrilyn and Angie Lima, and local goal keeper Shadine Franzua STOPPING THREE SHOTS.

This advanced them into the finals taking on CCC that had defeated New Hope High School. This was a SLAM by San Pedro High Girls defeating CCC with goals coming from Patricia Valerio (2) and Angie Lima (1). San Pedro’s forward,Patricia Valeria was named MVP, Most Valuable Player of the competition.

Now San Pedro High advances into the Nationals to match against Belize Central, The West and the South at Independence High School. It is a triumph for San Pedro High but unfortunately they need four thousand dollars for transportation alone to Independence. Any donations from the community can be sent to San Pedro High. It will be sincerely appreciated and acknowledged. Congratulations to our girls at SPHS, Coach Menalio, Sports Director Mr. Kelly and Principal Emil Vasquez.
