Holy Cross Anglican School gratefully thanks Rendezvous Restaurant and Wet Willy’s for hosting two very successful benefits last week. Internationally acclaimed singer/song writer, Ms. Jill Holly, preformed at both benefits. Ms. Holly generously donated her time and delighted audiences with her musical ability, talent and charm.
The first benefit was held on Sunday afternoon January 18 at a beach bar-b-que hosted by Rendezvous Restaurant. Donations from those present along with a gift from Rendezvous netted $739.00BZ for the School Feeding Program. Ms. Holly sang throughout the afternoon and also gave a portion of her CD sales to Holy Cross.
The second benefit was held on Friday evening, January 23 at Wet Willy’s. Items donated by local merchants were auctioned off and several raffle drawings were held. Although some moneys are still outstanding, initial totals of $2,466.00BZ indicate a very successful fundraiser!!
All funds will be used for the Feeding Program at Holy Cross. Holy Cross provides breakfast, snack and a full lunch, at no charge, to almost 500 students each day. If you would like to contribute food products or offer financial assistance, please contact the School Office at 226-3456.
