The first ever Savor San Pedro Food Festival Block Party was held Saturday, January 26 at the Central Park of San Pedro Town. Music filled the air, and mouths watered due to the sights and smells of the tasty treats offered by some of the island’s finest restaurants.
Some of San Pedro’s finest restaurants were out at the festival displaying some of their best dishes and drinks and the staff of Ambergris Today had the privilege of being judges for the night and we were up and about tasting all the different delicacies each booth had to offer and not to mention the drinks!
At the Festival there was food for all tastes and all dishes were delicious. Some of our favorites included Blue Water Grill’s Pork Tenderloin with Thai salad, Luna’s Chicken and Shrimp Brushetta, Palapa Bar’s Pork Pull with Baked Beans and El Fogon’s Chicken tostadas, Pork tacos and Conch fritters.
Chef of the Year – Calbert Santiago of Luna restaurant was displaying some of his best dishes and Bartender of the Year- Enrique Luna of Blue Water Grill was mixing up some of his best drinks, such as the Craboo punch and Blue Water.
At the end of the night the winners for the different categories were announced as voting was held in three separate categories (Best Food, Best Drink and Best Overall Booth), and the results were:

Blue Lotus - Prize(s): $200 Cash Given by PUP Standard Bearer Mel Spain, Two gift certificates from Sol Spa
El Fogon - Prize(s)$100 Cash from Ramons Village, Two gift certificates from Tropical Touch Spa
