Eighteen-year-old, Vivian Noralez was chosen as the first representative of Belize for Miss Teen Earth International that took place in Panama City this past weekend, Saturday, October 1, 2016. Four crowns were up for grabs at the Miss Teen Earth of which Vivian nabbed the Miss Petite Teen Earth title.
The main title of Miss Teen Earth 2016 was taken by Miss USA, but with all her preparation and dedication, Vivian was able to proudly represent her country. Her work as reigning Miss Teen Earth Belize was focused on water contamination after the hurricane. The pageant’s areas of international competition include reforestation, national costume, interview with judges, opening, swimsuit, evening gown and on-stage question.
“I couldn’t have done it without my parents,” commented Vivian on her Facebook provie. “A proud woman of Maya/Garifuna decent, a proud San Pedrana, A proud Belizean. I am so happy. I came on a mission and I gave it my all. Be yourself, everything is possible. Exito!”
Miss Teen Earth International focuses in promoting ecotourism and environmentally beneficial activities. The contestants each year,through one city tour, have opportunity to visit the main tourists attractions and go to a hospital that specializes in childhood cancer to give gifts to children in treatment.
