San Pedro High School kicked off Career Week, Monday, February 9, by inviting a guest speaker from Kingston, Jamaica to talk to the student body on how to become successful in their future careers.
This year’s Career Week theme reads, “Get excited get involved & plan for your future". It is exactly what guest speaker Diana Shaw talked about during her inspiring presentation. School Counselor Mrs. Alexis Guerrero stated that Ms. Shaw is an attorney of law from Kingston Jamaica and now residing in Belize City; she is the chairperson of Child Development Fund Belize and advocates awareness for her work on the publication Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in Belize.
Ms. Shaw had the entire student body intrigued with her informative and entertaining stories on how to have a successful career. She stated, “One of my favorite acronyms is SHAPE and I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me in life”
