It was a full house at the San Pedro Lions Den on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, for the San Pedro’s Got Talent Finals. The audience was ready to cheer for their favorite competitor. It was amazing seeing all the schools, parents, teacher and families with their colorful signs showing their support.

Thirteen talented children took to the stage to give their all in hopes to be the winner of the first season of San Pedro’s Got Talent organized by Reef Radio TV. The night consisted of very entertaining performances such as singing, dancing and instrument playing.

The Judges: Mr. Angel Nuñez, Karen Canul Waight, Miss San Pedro 2011 Yakarelis Hernandez and Mr. Jade World Alexander Valencia had a huge decision to make amongst all the spectacular performances. Ambergris Today’s Gerry Badillo was honored to have hosted such a great show. Gerry also showcased one of his many talents, with an unforgettable opening dance and singing performance to get the show started.

As the show came to a close, the tabulators handed in the results of the three winners. Reef Radio’s Eiden Salazar gave thanks to all his organizers and sponsors who helped make the first season of San Pedro’s Got Talent possible. One last time Gerry asked the crowd to make some noise and give a round of applause for all the talented finalists. The winners were as follows: Third place: Elina Palma $250, Second place: Noellie Wiltshire $500 and the first winner of San Pedro’s Got Talent went to the talented “Pianist”: Diego Francios $1,000 plus a $1,000 for his school Ambergris Caye Elementary School. People you are missing the point!

Yes it was a competition but the best part of it all was that children showed their talent! I didn't know some of those kids could dance or sing or even play an instrument! We should all search for our children's talent and support them in any way possible. A child may be good at danceing and that can keep that child out of trouble.

I think that many of those children could join the San Pedro Dance Company and become great dancers! The 3 young girls that sang could join a School, Church or High School Choir or Band! They introduced their talent to the society! Now we know what they are good at. THAT IS WHAT MATTERS! They are all winners!

Parents and Society, emprace the talent of our young children and let's help them grow in their talent!

    Proud Belizean!

Whatever!!!!  In every competition people will always have a bad saying about the winner.    That is why there are judges. Next year they can do it like they do Duets then the calls will make a big difference and the people will be the ones to decide a winner.  That way no one can say a judge was bias.

Learn to lose and learn from that.
