What a horrific but courageous journey. I hope they stay.

The seven Cuban immigrants were set free from jail yesterday, Thursday, December 30. Their makeshift vessel was held together by tar and powered by a converted car engine - which had broken down. The vessel was repaired by San Pedro residents and the Department of Immigration ruled that since they were only on the island because their engine broke down, there is no reason for them to be held in Belize and sent them on their way.
