Your body is a temple, but only if you treat it as one. ~Astrid Alauda These days I exercise regularly to keep healthy. What started out, as vanity is now self-preservation as I advance in age. But I remember years ago when I was overweight and out of shape. At the time I was quite busy with my family and career. I did not believe I had the time to exercise.

A peaceful person does more good than a knowledgeable one I meet people who come to San Pedro searching for peace, daily. They are looking for the perfect place, “their slice of paradise”. For example most kids can ride a bike; but when you first started your fear of falling conspired to stop you. Your thoughts of how it’s possible to stay upright on two wheels, peddle your feet, turn the handle bar, and navigate around the street could have been overwhelming at one point. But soon after you started you lost the fear and you were on your way.
“The greatest mistake is to be afraid of making one.” One of the attributes of being a person is to know that it’s all right to be human. To be the greatest achiever of all time is to be a fine human being. This means at some time or another one must err. Making a mistake is not the end of the world. It’s important to know that all people make mistakes one time or another. Anyone can serve as a model for this. Here is an example from my own life.
"All your words and actions define the world you want to live in." "Don't do things you wouldn't want to have done to you.” Even though this column is called secrets to life, most of what I write is not a secret. Many of these thoughts are common observations that I share with you so we can experience knowledge that happens in our everyday life. I believe knowledge is everywhere and can be missed because of our attention. One such observation happened a few months ago.
