Dear Voters,My most sincere thanks to my family, friends and all those that supported and voted for me on June 12. Since Belize Rural South did not accept my honest and sincere offer to represent them I just hope that they don't have to regret my offer when the 2013 elections come.

My dear Friends, June 12 will be the day for us to decide who will be the PUP standard bearer for the 2013 National Elections. Please take in consideration that in order to win the national election we need an experienced, honest, trustworthy and dedicated candidate.

Dear Editor:   On behalf of the San Pedro AIDS Commission it gives me great pleasure to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who in one way or another helped make El Show de las Estrellas del Momento a resounding success. My admiration and thanks to the members who worked hard to ensure the success of this event.  I also salute the “friends” of the AIDS Commission who lent a helping hand: Ms. Rosie (Celi’s Deli), Ismael (Holiday Hotel), Ms. Petie, Julio Requena, Lissette Graniel, and Giovannie Reyes (student). Great job guys!

Dear Editor,I find it hard to believe that a country that has so much going for it is contemplating taking money from the cruise lines to let them ruin what you have.Belize is a beautiful country with a great opportunity to exploit its environment without destroying that environment.

I have not experienced Carnival in Brazil nor Trinidad , two locales that I have heard are massive celebrations, boasting gorgeous costumes and choreographed dancing through the streets. My heart filled with joy when I saw on the US news this week Haitians filled with happiness, able to sway to the sounds of their Caribbean beat for the first time since the earthquake last year.
