Galen University has introduced two new online/hybrid undergraduate programs and one graduate program to its list of online programs for the upcoming Spring 2015 Semester. The new undergraduate programs are Accounting and Sustainable Tourism Management and the new graduate program is Public Administration.

The San Pedro Police Department is inviting the island community to participate in its end-of-the-year Holiday Food and Clothing Drive which will benefit selected families in need on Ambergris Caye. Non-perishable food items and clothing can be dropped of at the San Pedro Police Station up until Friday, December 19, 2014.

Ambergris Today, along with the community of Ambergris Caye, is saddened to share the news of the passing of Jesse Cope, who ran the San Pedro Daily website. Posts on message boards indicate that he fell ill earlier this week and was admitted to Belize Healthcare Partners in the city where he succumbed to his illness yesterday evening, Tuesday, July 22, 2014.

It is very sad to announce the death of a beloved priest, Father Maurice Marchand Murray. Fr. Murray was head priest at the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church in Ambergris Caye for quite a few years and many were blessed to have been baptized, received Holy Communion and even married by him.
