It is with saddened hearts that the community of San Pedro learned of the passing of Corry McDermott. Corry came to San Pedro many years ago to join his brother Gerry McDermott, owner of Paradise Hotel. A very friendly person, Corry made tons of friends with Sanpedranos and residents as he managed his own real estate business. He was a writer, promoter, traveller and an avid philanthropist.

The San Pedro Branch of the Belize Red Cross (BRCSP) would like to wish everyone a healthy, safe and prosperous New Year. San Pedro Red Cross is committed to Saving Lives and Changing History Through Helping our Community. Our two primary ways of doing this are through Blood Drives and First Aid trainings. Blood Drives

Adopt-A-Bear Christmas program is back and invites the community to help in making a childs wish come true, There are plenty of bears still yet to be adopted. This year's adoption centers are Sandbar, Wayo's Beach Bar, Crazy Canucks, Marbucks and Truck Stop.

The Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye announces the Intermagia Magic Show — an evening of mystical magical entertainment from a traveling, international magic group with eight members from Spain, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica. The event will be held at the Paradise Theater on Monday, October 10, at 2p.m. and 7p.m.

A group of college students from Augustana university in Sioux Falls South Dakota will be offering a free arts camp on August 18th & 19th at Boco Del Rio Park and at Central Park on August 23rd & 24th. Activities include percussion classes, crafts, dancing, drawing, singing and games will be offered from 10a.m. - 12p.m. and 1p.m. - 4p.m. / Ages 5-14.

Gus Tabony was accompanied by his staff of Toucan Gift Shops at the San Pedro Town Hall this morning, Tuesday, August 9,, 2016, to present the Council a new Honda motorcycle. On hand to accept the donation was Mayor Daniel Guerrero who indicated that the motorcycle will be presented to the San Pedro Police Department to assist them in their patrolling of the island.

Arcadia University from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA will be hosting a series of free seminars from Saturday, August 6 to Friday, August 19. The seminars are divided into morning and evening sessions, and will be offered at the San Pedro Lion’s Den, Dr. Otto Rodriguez Polyclinic II, and the San Pedro Town Council Conference Room.

San Pedro Pre-School announces the day of the San Pedro Miss Chiquitita 2016 to take place on Saturday, June 4th, at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium, San Pedro High School. The pageant is set to start at 7p.m. sharp, with five beautiful young girls ready contesting the title of Miss Chiquitita and entertainment by the San Pedro Dance Academy, Las Primas Dance Group, Rompe Raja and more.

GLENSIDE, PA, April 18, 2016 – After a fruitful initial visit to San Pedro, Belize Arcadia University plans to move forward with the global outreach initiative as they travel back to Belize in August, 2016 to begin educating the community in the areas of business, education, and healthcare.

The Branch is working hard for the community to make Ambergris Caye a safer place. Special thanks to Mayor Daniel Guerrero for coming to the Red Cross Christmas party and bringing an oversized check from the San Pedro Town Council to help us continue our work.
