GLENSIDE, PA, April 18, 2016 – After a fruitful initial visit to San Pedro, Belize Arcadia University plans to move forward with the global outreach initiative as they travel back to Belize in August, 2016 to begin educating the community in the areas of business, education, and healthcare.

The Sunshine Scholarship Foundation is hosting its third fundraiser on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Corona Dell Mar. Gates open at 4p.m. and the show begins at 6p.m. Adult tickets are $20.00 and $10.00 for children under 12. The theme for the show is Fashion Glam Slam!

It is with profound sorrow and respect that Ambergris Today, on behalf of the entire community of San Pedro, says goodbye and celebrates the life of Don Genaro Nuñez who passed on to be with his Creator on February 4, 2016.

The Branch is working hard for the community to make Ambergris Caye a safer place. Special thanks to Mayor Daniel Guerrero for coming to the Red Cross Christmas party and bringing an oversized check from the San Pedro Town Council to help us continue our work.

San Pedro is in mourning as we report with sadness the loss of a son, a bedrock, a beloved dad, grandfather, uncle, brother, and great grandfather, Mr. Efrain Lazaro Guerrero. Frain or Frainy, as his close friends and family called him, was one of San Pedro’s grand activists and contributed much to the development of the coconut community, the fishing village and the vibrant Town of San Pedro.
