Coral Reef Ed-Ventures Summer Camp is Back!!
The 19th annual Coral Reef Ed-Ventures Summer Camp is returning to Ambergris Caye on Monday, June 25th. The free, fun and educational camp is a collaboration between students from Smith College in Massachusetts, USA and the local Hol Chan Marine Reserve. The camp includes two programs that work to promote the conservation of the Belize Barrier Reef and teach island children about the coral and marine ecosystems.
San Pedro RC Church to Hold Father Child Fishing Tournament
The San Pedro Roman Catholic Church would like to invite all fathers to a Father and Child Fishing Tournament this Father's day. Fishing tournament will be on Saturday - Sunday (June 16-17, 2018) and it will consist of two categories: From Dock and From Boat. If you have any questions, you can contact the Parish Office at 624-4215. Please note that the smallest fish should be within the legal size allowed. God bless you all!

Notice to all Justices of the Peace
Belmopan. May 14, 2018. The Attorney General’s Ministry informs that all Justices of the Peace, including Senior Justices of the Peace, must contact the Ministry to verify their JP status before July 31, 2018. This exercise is being carried out in preparation for the upcoming re-registration process by the Elections and Boundaries Department. All Justices of the Peace are required to provide some form of proof of their status. Kindly note that the JP certificate can be used as proof of status. Each person must also provide their contact information to the Ministry.

"Conservation and Protection; Let's protect the reefs of this Nation" Hol Chan Marine Reserve is celebrating its 13th Annual Reef Week from Monday, May 7, 2018 to Sunday, May 13, 2018. A week filled with fun activities aimed to educate on preservation and conservation of our beautiful reef. Here is a calendar of events that will be taking place throughout the week, be sure to be a part of this wonderful celebration.
San Pedro Lions Club to Host National Convention
The San Pedro Lions Club is inviting the general public to its National Convention which will take place from Friday, May 25 to Sunday, May 27, 2018, in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Lions Club from San Pedro, San Estevan, Belmopan and Belize City all come together to celebrate in a three day event where there will be lots of fun activities taking place at the San Pedro Lions Den.

The annual Lionfish Derby is coming up on March 24th!! It will be a full day of activities, eating, drinking and laughter. Get your team ready and sign up with awesome prizes for the winners with the most lionfish caught, the smallest lionfish and the largest lionfish. You can either free-dive with spear-guns and Hawaiian slings or scuba dive with only Hawaiian slings. There will be a captains meeting explain all the regulations and rules at the Caye Caulker Community Center March 22nd at 18:00. There will be a waiver sheet everyone will need to sign too.

Press Release - The Marco Gonzalez Maya Site Non-Profit Organization happily invites the public to celebrate All Things New at their Spring Equinox Event to take place on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Marco Gonzalez Archaeological Reserve. At 10am Maya Priest Mr. Martin Choc will officiate a blessing of the Reserve as well as extending it to our island. San Pedro House of Culture Hosts Art Show
The San Pedro House of Culture held an official opening for its current Art Show on Friday, November 24, 2017. The exhibition is open for all to see and will run until Friday, December 1, 2017, viewing time is from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Beautiful paintings are available for viewing and purchasing. Go on over to the San Pedo House of Culture and appreciate wonderful art work from local artists such as Eduardo 'Papo' Alamilla, Jeovan Chacon, Manuel Rosales, Edgar Gomez, Stephanie Perez and Alfredo 'Kinishu" Trejo.
San Pedro RC School Library In Need of Urgent Repair
The San Pedro Roman Catholic School is reaching out to the community of San Pedro for assistance in form of donations to be able to fix their library that is in dire need of repairs. For some time now the current building has been deteriorating slowly and after the September Mexico earthquake the building shook and needs to be reinforced. The building has broken doors and windows and the exterior walls are all rotting and falling apart.
Art Show Fundraiser Coming Up at SP House of Culture
The San Pedro House of Culture is hosting an art show featuring Bernadette Damper from November 9 to 23. The show will benefit San Pedro Fundraising Events; the opening will be on November 9 at 7p.m. and the House of Culture is open Monday to Friday from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and support a worthy cause.
Belize Humane Society to Hold First Dog Show and Pawty in the Park
Belize Humane Society will hold its first Pawty in the Park on Saturday, October 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Memorial Park in Belize City. The highlight of the “Pawty” will be a Dog Show with eight categories from Best Obedience to Best Potlikka and more! Winners will receive a great prize package including trophies and medallions courtesy of major sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka, dog food and treats from Reimers feeds, gift certificates from Brothers Habet and lots more.
