Be Kind Belize and the San Pedro Lions Club Encourage Kids to Speak out about Kindness - Press Release - Be Kind Belize, April 28, 2011 the humane education program, is working with the Lions Club to give children the opportunity to speak out about ‘Kindness in Our Community’. On the 10th of May at 7pm, children from standards 2,3 & 4 at Holy Cross Anglican School will have the honor of presenting their own speeches to members of the San Pedro Lions Club.

Hi! My name is Zenda! I have been at Saga for several months now. Someone put me over the fence at the shelter because I had a lot of medical problems. On Saturday April 9, Isla Bonita Elementary School will be holding a community event/fundraiser. Students and the entire community are invited to the school between the hours of 10am and 4pm to participate in the painting of a mural on school property. All those wanting to participate in painting the mural can buy a cup of paint.

Press Release – San Pedro Transport Department – January 10th, 2011 - All Business establishments displaying “Sandwich Boards” in front of their respective places are kindly advised to please place such boards within their property lines. This will alleviate unnecessary traffic obstructions and allow an easier flow. Your usual cooperation is anticipated as this will be monitored and action taken for non-compliance.

“After Christmas Football Tournament” Lighthouse Christian Radio held their after Christmas Football Tournament and Fun in the Park activities. Games were played from 8:00 am to 11:30 from the 28th of December to the 31st. This was a great opportunity for the children of San Pedro to meet new friends, learn about team work, choices, sportsmanship and friendship in a safe and friendly environment.

Support the Catholic Church Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 11 at 5p.m. It's a family event taking place at Friendship Park located in front of the Roman Catholic Church. Also taking place will be the Mañanitas for the Lady of Guadalupe.

The San Pedro Cancer Society is a non-profit organization that focuses on the awareness of Cancer in the San Pedro Community. Through their works they assist as much as possible with fundraisers and assisting cancer patients with information and sharing resources for cancer treatment in Belize and regionally.
