Elvi’s Kitchen Burger Delight!

Many people who have visited San Pedro, Belize can tell you that they never went around on an empty stomach, simply because of all the great choices of eateries on the island. If you hear someone saying that they haven’t eaten and are dying of hunger on the island, then let’s just say that they are dying because they want too or are just plain picky. Just ask the staff at Elvi’s Kitchen!

I was contacted by Elvi’s Kitchen’s Chef, Jennie Staines to go and sample her brand new ‘Half Pound Burger’ that has locals and tourists craving for more.  This huge, delicious, juicy and, I shall repeat, HUGE burger is unique and perfect for people with that shark appetite. It has everything from pickles, tomato, lettuce, cheese and we can’t forget the half pound patty; which is nicely hugged by the burger buns. (Attention: If you feel like that is not enough for you, feel free to add some tasty fries). Let me tell you the half pound burger is definitely a must the next time you come down to La Isla Bonita.

As I was congratulating Chef Jennie on another successful dish, she decided to surprise me with something very special. She mentioned to me that she has been making this delicious “Chaya Burger” for her son Oscar Pinelo many years and he gave her mom the idea of presenting and naming it “The Ambergris Today Burger”. This burger entails all the ingredients as the half pound burger but with a twist - a Chaya-filled patty with mozzarella and cheddar cheese melted on top (YUMMY!). Chef Jenny stated that the burger is Sanpedrano just like the staff at Ambergris Today.  

We definitely feel honored and thank Elvi’s Kitchen in naming a dish after us. Therefore, if you are planning on going to Elvi’s Kitchen don’t forget to ask for the Half-pound Burger or the Ambergris Today Burger and let us know about your tasty experience. How Cool!  Now you can visit Ambergris Caye,  Read Ambergris Today, and savor and eat Ambergris Today Burger at Elvis.  Only at Elvis.  WOW!
