San Pedro's Island Cowboy

In San Pedro there are many different people from all walks of life, but some of them stand out more than others. We have our own unique characters on the island such as Paisano (deceased), Coconut Leo and now The Island Cowboy.

I had the opportunity of meeting Michael Gillett, The Island Cowboy, and chatting with him about his unique bicycle that he rides around town with. The humble cowboy gave me a brief description on how he customized his bicycle with the help of some friends in San Ignacio, Cayo.

This amazing Cowboy is known for his dress code and, most of all, his unique bicycle that he rides around town (trust me it is so difficult to ride the bike, it took me a while to get the hang of it). Many tourists and locals enjoy taking pictures and talking to him. Next time you are in San Pedro keep a look out for The Island Cowboy.
