Everybody has been buzzing around town about the new delegates bidding for the crown for Miss San Pedro 2011. The Miss San Pedro Pageant is always a great entertainment on the island for locals and tourists. The San Pedro Town Council organizers start preparing themselves as soon as possible; starting with the theme to the amazing cultural costumes. Of course I can’t forget the lovely girls who make the decision in taking part in the pageant. This year 5 lovely girls; Josie Lopez, Joey Eiley, Christine Syme, Trisha Acosta and Yakarelis Hernandez, are going to take the stage and give their all in winning the title of Miss San Pedro 2011. This year the theme is “A Unique Paradise! – An Island Fiesta”. When I heard the theme I immediately got excited, because many people that know me know that I love fiestas. Take my word for it; the pageant is going to be bigger and better.

The girls had the privilege of working with Miss Costa Maya 2011; Valentina Cevera. Vale showed them the best techniques on how to strut on stage and portray and professional image to their audience. The organizers also took the girls to Chetumal, Quintana Roo for a weekend, where they got to go site seeing, meet and greet with the Mayor of Chetumal and their costume designer.

Now that they are back on the island, it is time to hit the practice sessions in preparation to pageant night. I got the opportunity to get a sneak peek and chit chat with the girls about their amazing journey and trust me they had a lot to say. Believe me viewers these girls are ready to entertain and represent. Therefore, I extend the invitation to all locals and tourists to join the FIESTA at the Miss San Pedro 2011 on September 3rd at the Old Football field starting at 8pm. Relive the Sanpedrano traditions in one night and watch our new lovely ambassador get crowned.
