Miss World Belize 2015 Appointed Image Ambassador

– Press Release – Miss World Belize Ltd. Chairman and National Director, Michael Arnold, would like to congratulate Miss Jasmin Jael Rhamdas, 19 years old of Belmopan City who was given a “letter of appointment” nominating her as an “Image Ambassador” by the Pingtan Comprehensive and Experimental Area Management Committee after all the credentials of Miss World’s 113 Contestants was reviewed. The ceremony was held in the presence of Miss World 2014, Rolene Strauss, invited guests and the news media.

Miss Rhamdas was appointed on December 3rd to represent and promote Pingtan International Tourism Island which is a major tourist destination in the Fijian Province. This is a county comprised of 126 islands. Pingtan Island is promoted by Miss World Organization as, “a place of incredible beauty, a haven for photographers and Miss World Contestants visiting various nature sites including its pristine beaches!”

Miss World Belize Limited would like to also thank the Pingtan Management Committee for choosing Miss World Belize to represent their organization and county. On behalf of Miss Rhamdas we would also like to thank the Committee for the wooden carving plaque gift that accompanied her Certificate.

This achievement has set a new milestone for the Country of Belize in pageantry that made us proud to be ranked 1st place for the first time in any event or category at Miss World International Contests.

Miss World Belize, Chairman has informed Hon. Wilfred Elrington, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of this very exciting information. This information was also copied to Hon. Patrick Faber, Minister of Education Youth, Sports and Culture along with his Minister of State, Hon. Elodio Aragon Jr., and the Minister of Tourism Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr. of Miss Rhamdas achievements.

Miss World Belize, Jasmin Rhamdas is presently ranked in the top 25 countries listed as a semi-finalist in the Multi-media segment for Miss World 2015. She is competing with Australia, France, India, Jamaica, Lebanon, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Venezuela, and other countries in this segment.

Miss Rhamdas requests that all Belizeans wishing to support her should download Miss World App and vote for her via their cellular phones on a daily basis until the Miss World Finals is completed on December 19th. The show will be televised to more than one billion viewers worldwide. In Belize cable viewers can tune in to E! Television station to see the show transmitted Live.  

Miss Jasmin Rhamdas will arrive in Miami International Airport, USA on Monday, 21st December where she will spend a week with her mother, Ms. Tricia Rhamdas and her family.  She will return to Belize on the 31st December in time to celebrate New Year’s Day.

In 2016, she will continue to study in Belize to earn her degree in the field of Criminal Justice.
