After Christmas Football Tournament

The Lighthouse Christian Radio is always hosting fun and educative programs for the children of San Pedro. This past weekend the second annual After Christmas Football Tournament took place at the Old Football Field.

The Lighthouse Christian Radio After Christmas Football Tournament began on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 and culminated on Saturday, December 31, 2011 during which over 80 children participated in the event which took place from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The following were the winners for the tournament:

The Junior Team - ages 9 – 11:
First Place: Barcelona
Second Place: Real Madrid
Third Place: Mexico.
 
The Senior Team - ages 12 – 14:
First Place: Barcelona
Second Place: Strikers
Third Place: San Pedro United

Many younger aged children enjoyed making craft and having fun with the Believers World Outreach team comprised of people from Oklahoma, North Carolina, Washington DC, Arizona and California who wanted to spend their Christmas giving of their time and resources to the children of San Pedro Town.

This was the second time Lighthouse Christian Radio hosted the After Christmas Football Tournament to provide a productive, fun and most important, sharing the true meaning of Christmas, God's love with the kids. Several hundred of donated football jerseys, sports equipment, school supplies, back packs and other gifts with lots of candies were given out by all who participated in the Tournaments and the New Year's Day Children Festival held in Central Park!
