Casa Picasso Restaurant is Back
Looking for amazing food? We know San Pedro is full of fantastic restaurants for all different tastes, but we are happy to see that Casa Picasso is back in business after about a year’s hiatus. What happened? Well it just changed ownership and new island residents/entrepreneurs Adam and Jackie were happy to reopen Casa Picasso a couple weeks back.
Well, Ambergris Today had the pleasure of being invited to Casa Picasso during its inaugural weekend and had a fantastic time sampling scrumptious tapas like Malaysian Chicken Satay (which had a great coconut peanut sauce), shrimp fitters with a spicy peanut sauce, Belizean stewed chicken sliders, Vietnamese pork spring rolls with sesame hoison sauce, fried malaysian spring rolls with sweet chili sauce and even Vishyssoise (potato and leek soup) a first for Ambergris Today.
It sounds all good, but we have to tell you that it tastes even better. The Chef de Cuisine is Hasni Ghazali who has been overlooking things at Casa Picasso as it prepared to open its doors to the public. Executive Chef Tien Vo and his staff have created a Mediterranean influenced menu with, of course, a touch of Caribbean cuisine that ties it up with the island dining experience.
Well! We leave you with a few pictures of the social evening, because we do not want to give it all away until we do a Restaurant Review on Casa Picasso. We are definitely looking forward for the dining experience and thank Jackie and Adam for the wonderful hospitality during their inaugural social mixer. You did great!
