September 21, Independence Day in 1984

Independence Day is Independence Day; big or small parade, it is still Independence Day. Way back in 1984 just after township there were the faithful patriots willing to show their love for Belize.  There were simple banners and just one music system, no huge crowds, but the children and town leaders came out to show their love of Belize and of course their love to party.  The kids here are too small for us to recognize, but we are sure many of you will identify yourselves in this Flashback.  Kindly add your name and comments to this photo taken right in front of Doña Clara Ancona’s  house ( right on her verandah), and in front of Holiday Hotel.
