Trust me, when I was asked to attend the weddings, I was as confused as when you read the headline to my blog post. Many people who have visited San Pedro, Belize can tell you that they never went around on an empty stomach, simply because of all the great choices of eateries on the island. If you hear someone saying that they haven’t eaten and are dying of hunger on the island, then let’s just say that they are dying because they want too or are just plain picky. Just ask the staff at Elvi’s Kitchen!

On a unexpected trip to Belize City, I found myself walking through the busiest street in the city, “Albert Street” and came across that it was closed, but yet very full of life. Tents were all erected and people were decorating and setting up their booths for the Second Annual Street Art Festival, that was taking place on Saturday, February 25, 2012.

There are many amazing events that are celebrated on the island, but the one that I definitely look forward to is Carnaval. This three day celebration is unique and I love it, simply for all the impressive colors of costumes during all the comparsas and all the beautiful people walking around town like Picasso paintings.
