The San Pedro Roman Catholic School gathered to make an arts and crafts fundraiser for one of their Alumni; Ethan Galvez, who is receiving medical treatment in Chetumal, Quintana Roo. The students made a small contribution of 50 cents to place their hand print along with their signature on a white piece of cloth.

Holy Cross Holds Health Fair

Holy Cross Anglican School held a Health Fair on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the School Compound. The Health Fair consisted of minor skin surgeries, dental check up (by the Belize Mission Project), check up on minor medical ailments, diabateses testing and blood pressure testing, among others. It was a fun and educational event for all the school and students.

About a month ago Mr. Jose Gregorio Najera affectionately known by most island residents as “Don Jose” asked the public to kindly assist him to raise funds for a much needed surgery that he required.
Don Jose is in need of a second bi-pass surgery to install a new heart pace-maker and he was raffling his personal golf cart.
