There is always something to be rescued when you live close to nature. Coming home from a trip abroad, I found a big cockroach in the center of my living room floor. Upside down, kicking, attempting to get right side up. In the past, I would have just squished this misunderstood crawler. But now filled with respect for life, I pause to watch my thoughts. Is he no less than the dragonfly, or birds I rescue that are sometimes trapped in my studio? It is so easy to kill certain creatures, especially ones we don’t understand. Deep down I know it has a purpose like all existence.

Real freedom starts with knowing your ability to change continually -Emmanuel I am watching a dragon fly. He’s trapped in my studio because he can’t see the way out. He continuously slams into by big window facing the street, and then he attempts to pass through the cover of my florescent lights on the ceiling.

By Christopher Emmanuel Energy flows where attention goes Just the other day I almost had an accident with another biker. She was plugged into her ipod while on her bike. Riding behind me she didn’t notice I had slowed down and signaled to turn. Fortunately I noticed her in my peripheral vision and was able to turn just in time to avoid a collision.

By Christopher Emmanuel Are your dreams like old clothes in a closet; they just don’t fit anymore? Anything worth having starts out as a dream, an idea, goal or ambition. Every great accomplishment first began as a dream in someone’s mind. But all dreams are worthless unless you decide to do something about it. This is the moment of truth when you decide to invest your time, money, ability, energy and reputation and let go of security.

By Christopher Emmanuel The other day I put my t-shirt on inside out. I never noticed what I did till much later. As I walked out my door, down the beach to the local coffee shop, I passed locals on the way and I said good morning nods. Some smiled and some responded back with good morning back to me. It wasn’t till I was leaving Ruby’s after buying my orange juice that someone joked about my shirt being inside out that I actually became aware that, indeed I had put my shirt on inside out.
